From Old Rag Trailside and Old Rag Foothills you can walk to the Old Rag trailhead in about fifteen minutes — no car, and no hunting for a parking space. Old Rag Overlook is about fifteen minutes away by road, looking straight at the mountain across its own thirty-two acres. All three sit on the eastern edge of Shenandoah National Park, in Sperryville and Etlan, Virginia. Each one has a private hot tub, a fire pit and a kitchen stocked for real cooking, and each one is pet friendly, with up to three dogs welcome. Trailside and Foothills each have a wood-burning stove; at Overlook the game room fills the converted smokehouse, and the fire pit outside is the place for a fire.

Old Rag Trailside and Old Rag Foothills are restored farmhouses next door to one another, sleeping ten apiece; book both and you have room for twenty. Old Rag Overlook is a secluded 32-acre estate with six bedrooms, a game room and the widest views of the three — mountains on every side and Old Rag straight ahead — sleeping eighteen.
